We know how to enjoy each others company!  

From the social hour before our monthly programs and Political Trivia Nights, from our annual holiday party to our Blue Breakfast  annual membership meeting--the opportunity to get together with like-minded people is a part of everything we do.

This year, we've hosted No Ethanol Fernandina, Fernandina Pride, and Nassau Freedom to Learn. 

Our July Young Voters panel included Rep. Angie Nixon, Wendall McGahee and Jayden D'Onofrio. 

Coming up this year, we'll visit topics like Gun Violence, Christian Nationalism, and Reproductive Freedom.

We participate in, provide volunteers for, and sponsor community events like: the MLK Jr. Parade, the Fernandina Pride Parade & Festival and the Right Whale Festival.

Our members are always on the front lines of local community action, from schoolboard meetings and pop-up protests, to writing and calling up our elected representatives at the city, county, state and national levels.

In 2024, we launched a single purpose, restricted DEI fund .

This year, we are setting up Youth and Diversity Committees to recommend how those funds should be used. The Youth and Diversity Committee Chairs (or designated committee members) will serve on the DCAI Board of Directors
